The Patron
Brand Identity for Northern Quarter's favourite bar
Once a haberdashery in the 1950’s and then later turning into a second-hand furniture outlet, an overhaul by Hardcourt Architects, the firm behind Hatters Hostels, turned the 120-year-old chamber’s building into a combination of Hatters Hostel, West Corner and The Patron. A tasteful, bespoke design perfectly presents this wonderfully eccentric and eternally expressive bar & restaurant in Manchester’s beloved Northern Quarter.

Challenging the idea of what the modern bar can be, this brand integrates the vision of casual sophistication amenities and work/life balance that attracts a 12-12 audience. We carried through our identity to every element of The Patron’s brand identity, from the fully responsive website to their menus, brand book, exterior signage and social media profiles.

Beautiful journey, beautiful design… patterns and symbols echo the attention to detail put into the interior design.
The user experience is all based around the simplicity of the artful brand. The menu navigation simulates this digital experience of the physical drinks and food menu.
