Pomegranate Consulting
Manchester's Finest Chartered Accountants
A logo can make or break a brand, it is crucial to make sure there is significant thought when choosing colours, typefaces, and visuals to communicate what a brand is about. So how do you design a logo that’s different to what any other agency can do (and not care about)?
Firstly, it’s crucial to show the client you care. Luckily, we have a great relationship with Ansar and his team at Pomegranate. Which, after receiving their initial rebrand direction from another agency, decided they needed more care and attention with moving their brand forward. We jumped at the opportunity to give one of Manchester’s most renowned accountants a new fresh brand. The golden rule here, always do your homework. As its very obvious when you don’t.

Show the client your process, what you’re thinking and your aspirations for how it could be so much more than just a logo or a business card or even an email footer. We like to go above and beyond as an agency. Having said that, this is made a lot easier when the client gives you the creative freedom to express yourself. But having researched accountancy firms far and wide. It became apparent that none of them felt modern as a brand, we felt this was a big problem as the accounting industry is ever changing with the times and the brand should reflect this.
Start with the logo, we encourage clients to look past this, but fundamentally, the logo is the keystone to any brand and it’s what everybody will focus their attention on. We went with an abstract take on their original identity, still keeping the balance between corporate & professional with modern, current & (well) cool. With this approach & feedback from the client, it was a case of reflecting this process with the colours and type. With branding and self-promotion on social media, the lines between a brand, an ad or a social media post are becoming increasingly blurred. With a simple set of colour options and one primary typeface to use within the brand, we’re eliminating any confusion, on any platform, be it in cyberspace or reality.
Once we got the go-ahead from the client regarding the colour and the type choices, building the website was easy and exciting. This is where we could have real fun and show off what we do best. We set ourselves the brief of designing Manchester’s most exciting accountancy website (sounds exciting doesn’t it?!). Again, this was made easy with constant clear communication and feedback. As well as working to our strengths and showing off what makes pomegranate consulting successful, its values, for example, their commitment and care. It was only fair that we replicated this the work we produced for them.

It’s always refreshing to work with clients that share your ambition. As a young agency, we don’t just want to grow our clients, we want to grow with them. As part of the inspiration for Pomegranate’s rebrand was the move to a new office space in the heart of Manchester’s financial district. We got a first hand look at their moving process and offered our opinion on the interior design and our plans for the future of the brand and how to best promote themselves in what is a very exciting time for the company and everyone associated with them. Forever, as an agency, means that once the website, logo, letterheads (and all that other brand & design stuff) are all done and finalised we still offer our opinion and consultation and design approach on everything from the lighting, workspace and even the desks!
