Is WordPress SEO friendly?

If you have a website, you want people to visit it. But with so much competition online, and across all sectors, your website could easily get lost in the outer reaches of the search engines. This is why so many brands invest in quality SEO to make sure their website gets found again and again by potential customers.
SEO (search engine optimisation) involves many different factors and whilst the choice of CMS isn’t a direct ranking factor, Google’s Senior Webmaster Trends Analyst, John Mueller, says that WordPress is a great choice for SEO.
no. WP is a great CMS & works well in search, but afaik our algos don't explicitly check for any particular CMS.

Here’s 5 reasons why WordPress is considered SEO friendly.
If there’s one thing Google values above everything else, it’s user experience. So while Google doesn’t necessarily reward sites with certain types of CMSs, it does reward websites that provide a superior user experience, which is something WordPress is great at.
Being able to edit your permalinks is invaluable to SEO because it means you can put a keyword or two in there. Through WordPress, instead of having a URL that is off-putting and full of random characters, you can create your own attractive and informative link.
One of the major factors that Google uses to assess websites is whether or not they’re optimised for mobile. This links back to Google’s obsession with user experience. Globally, the latest statistics indicate that just over 50% of all internet traffic can be attributed to mobile devices and so it’s extremely important to have a site that is optimised for mobile. WordPress is ideal because most themes are already optimised for mobile and it’s really easy to make changes.
SEO titles and metadata improve the way search engines interpret the relevance of your site. Metadata tells search engine crawlers what your webpages are all about and with WordPress, it’s quick and easy to add relevant keywords to your metadata to help improve your rankings.
The great thing about WordPress is that it has some amazing plugins you can use to help with your SEO efforts. Yoast SEO, Google XML Site Maps and Google Analytics are three of the best SEO plugins and make it really easy to optimise and track your website.
