Big fan of Snapchat? Manchester/Liverpool based? You probably noticed a new Geofilter for both cities recently. These Snapchat Geofilters were designed by our very own Head of Design Daniel Moore. Now the whole of Manchester/Liverpool will see Dan’s filters on a daily basis. Wo!

But what exactly is a Geofilter and how can they connect brands to consumers?

Geofilter are a fun way to share where you are to your Snapchat friends and followers, or what you’re up to, by adding an overlay to your Snap. If you have location services and filters enabled, Geofilters appear all around the world. After you take a Snap, swipe to see what’s around and use them!

How to access Snapchat Geofilters:

You’ll need to enable Filters in your Snapchat Settings, as well as, location services on your device for this feature. To enable location services for Snapchat on your device follow the steps below:

For iOS devices:

Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services, and turn on for Snapchat

For Android devices:

Go to Settings > Location > Turn on

To enable Filters on Snapchat:

Go to Snapchat Settings

Tap ‘Manage’ under Additional Services

Toggle ‘Filters’ on
