I know, it’s true, people still actually read books… Shock, horror!
Whilst looking for some new reading material – I stumbled across this great site: http://mybusinessbookclub.com/books/. It has heaps of ideas so if you fancy starting your own business book club these are a great starting point!
We also took a bit of an office poll and here are a few of our favourite marketing/business related books…
FOR DESIGN
– Los Logos No7 by Gestalten – A vast selection of logo and brand designs for inspiration.
– Information is Beautiful by David McCandless – A wonderful book showcasing innovative ideas on how to lay out data, information and statistics in visually appealing ways.
FOR SOCIAL MEDIA
– Engage – Brian Solis – Social needs to be engaging, not just selling – Brian Solis discusses the best ways to engage and ensure social success.
FOR PHOTOGRAPHY
– In almost every picture by Eric Kessels / Hironori Akutagawa – A great ‘just for fun’ concept, essentially this is a book full of images of a rabbit with various things on his head throughout his life (disclaimer – it doesn’t end well but the concept is fun!)
– National Geographic – The Photographs by Leah Bendavid-Val – From the shocking to the stunning, National Geographic pull out all the stops with this stunning
FOR MANAGEMENT
– The Chimp Paradox: The Mind Management Programme to Help You Achieve Success, Confidence and Happiness by Professor Steve Peters – A great book on how to control your inner chimp.
– Who moved my Cheese? by Spencer Johnson – Some people just don’t like change, this witty and intelligent book puts it all into perspective.
