Who are you?
I’m a designer from Lurgan, Northern Ireland who has somehow ended up as Head of Design here in Manchester at forever, it’s been 2 and a half years and I’m still here so I must be doing something right lol.
What is the latest project you finished?
Quite a few actually, we’re a busy agency at the moment. The biggest achievement this year has been finally updating our website as it is always put to the bottom of the list. Recently we’ve finished the brand and website for West Corner a New York/Irish themed deli-diner based in the Northern Quarter. I’ve always wanted to brand something in NQ and the fact it’s Irish makes it that little bit sweeter.

Have you any advice for design students?
Get as much experience as you can and get to know as many designers as you can, don’t be afraid to make yourself known. Also it helps to bring something else to the table when you come to a studio or small agency. A designer who can design well and marry that with their own photography, illustration or 3d visuals can go a long way. Plus it all helps your art direction eye in the long run.
